What is your favourite memory of working with customers at Giant Tiger?

My favorite memory of working with customers at Giant Tiger is when a customer asked to see me at customer service and when I approached - there was a 6’3 man waiting for me. As soon as he set eyes on me , he leaned in for the biggest hug . When he stepped back he had tears in his eyes and he said to me “please don’t ever stop working with kids and doing your co-op program. “I’m Drew’s father- and I have heard him speak in sentences for the first time because of the work you do here.” When CBC interviews Drew, they said “How come you decided to speak here? Drew said “ because I knew they would listen” Melts my heart every time I think about it .

How do you give back to your local community?

I work with Westview Freedom Academy and take an entire class each semester of 15 kids with exceptionalities and provide them with a safe space to learn transferable skills and thrive .
